The reaction that Vincent, a positive speaker, had on communities loaded with stigmatisation was tangible, people can not believe that a person would be fit and well and standing in front of them speaking, let alone admitting to be HIV positive!

Local enthusiasm amongst the educated in Zambia is huge and this must be tapped. These people must come from rural areas as it became obvious during our pilot that urban counsellors did not enjoy going into rural areas, due to the lack of running water sanitation etc. Local educated people desperately want to do something to help their communities. They are well aware of how the disease is devastating peoples lives. It is these local people that have the knowledge of the cultural practices that have to be addressed and the behavioural change is more likely to be effective and sustained if the whole community is involved.

Our work continues and we receive regular updates from Evans Graph via his Internet access provided by us which, we hope to give to all our field operatives where, geographically possible. Please feel free to email him should you like to talk to him about our work in the field evans__graph@yahoo.com

We do not believe in the need for costly offices and high expatriate salaries. We believe that funds should be used where they are most needed. Along with money, we desperately need more laptops, so if you are reading this and would like to help, there is another way. What we have achieved so far with help from others is huge. With more field operatives and more laptops the scope of what we can go onto achieve is vast. Visit our Downloads Page to see pictures and videos of our work so far. For any queries or additional information please do not hesitate to contact us.

We thank you for the interest in our work.
